The Vein Center at Water’s Edge Dermatology diagnoses and treats vein conditions under the leadership of the nation’s foremost experts in vein care.
Unlike other dermatology practices who may only be treating conditions at the surface level, our very own Dr. Felipe Collares, MD brings a more holistic approach to vein care with the understanding that your veins can be indicative of good or ailing health.
“Our patients often have underlying symptoms such as pain, heaviness, cramps, swelling, skin changes and discoloration. All of those symptoms can be the underlying cause of spider and varicose veins. At Water’s Edge, we’re here to diagnose and treat those concerns, not just address them cosmetically.”
At Water’s Edge Dermatology, Dr. Collares performs minimally invasive treatments to target the root cause of vein issues. These procedures are performed at the office with the goal to improve symptoms and signs related to vein disease with minimal recovery time as patients can resume most normal activities immediately. Cosmetic treatment options are also available to patients with visible spider veins to improve the appearance of their legs. Symptom relief and cosmetic improvement of the legs can have a significant positive impact on the quality of life of these patients.
Dr. Collares’ impressive resume includes board certifications in vascular and interventional radiology and more than 10 years of teaching experience at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Collares is also the author of the book Varicose Veins: Practical Guides in Interventional Radiology and the “ACP Phlebology Safety Checklist,” both of which are well-respected in the medical community and frequently referenced. Through these accomplishments, Dr. Collares has earned a reputation as one of the most respected leaders in vein care – and one of the best doctors to see for vein treatments.
