Dr. Loucas earned an undergraduate degree and a medical degree, both with honors, from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. He then completed a medical internship at the University of North Carolina Hospitals at Chapel Hill in North Carolina. From there, Dr. Loucas went on to complete a dermatology residency at Tulane University School of Medicine. He was selected as Chief Resident during his final year of residency.
A recipient of several awards, Dr. Loucas has been awarded the Top Doctors/Super Doctor award from Times Magazine for nine consecutive years and is a five-time winner of the Continuing Medical Education Award from the American Academy of Dermatology. He has been featured by a variety of media outlets including NBC’s Today Show, Skin & Aging, Allure, Elle and Yahoo!.
Dr. Loucas is a Fellow of the AAD, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. His professional interests include skin cancer, medical dermatology, skin laser surgery, skin rejuvenation, facial augmentation and PRP (platelet-rich-plasma).
Prior to joining Water’s Edge Dermatology, Dr. Loucas successfully owned and operated a private practice on Park Avenue in New York City.
